On Wednesday November 6th\, from 3 to 4pm\, The Manomet Branch of the Plymouth Public Library invites you to Living with Wildlife a talk about commonly encountered animals we share our outdoor space with here in Massachusetts; like deer\, beaver\, raccoons\, and more.  Also discussed will be the relationships these creatures have with the spaces they inhabit\, both wild and developed\, and best practices we humans can implement to better live in peaceful coexistence and be DEER friends to our wildlife neighbors. This class is free and open to everyone.  Registration is required\, which you can do through the Mass Audubon website. The Plymouth Manomet Branch is at 12 Strand Avenue.

SUMMARY:Stargazing Night Walk at the Soule Homestead
DESCRIPTION:Soule Homestead invites you to marvel and stare on November 2nd from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on a Stargazing Night Walk at the farm. Jamie Kern\, Bridgewater State University’s Observation Manager will guide stargazers through trails and down to the back fields to discuss and experience the heavenly bodies visible from the homestead.  After the walk\, you’ll get to look through telescopes in the fields behind the classroom. With weather allowing\, there will be a bonfire\, and s’more kits available for purchase. Bring your flashlight and bug spray\, with appropriate shoes on your feet to experience this wondrous adventure. The cost for members is $10 for adults\, $5 for children. Non-members pay $15 and $10. SUMMARY:Kickoff to Seaside Trail StoryWalk to Tidy by Emily Gravett
DESCRIPTION:The book Tidy by award winning author Emily Gravett has environmental preservation and sustainability at its heart.  On Saturday October 5th\, Tidy will be transformed into an immersive StoryWalk experience along the North Plymouth Seaside Trail\, the 1.2 mile path connecting Nelson and Cordage Parks. Kicking off at Nelson Park at 10:00 AM\, you will be able to walk along the trail while learning about all the elements and wildlife that surround you as you also follow the story of Pete the badger\, whose need for neatness causes a chain reaction of environmental consequences. StoryWalk will be up until Monday\, November 4th. The trail is both stroller and wheelchair friendly!  \nThis Story Walk project is a partnership between Plymouth Public Library\, Plymouth Open Space Committee\, Sustainable Plymouth and Plymouth’s Department of Energy and Environment.
