From 10am to 12pm botanical artist and Conservation Agent Tricia Cassady will guide your young creators through the artistic process of crafting their own nature-themed Valentines using watercolors\, colored pencils and pens. All art supplies are provided\, and everyone will leave with up to four handmade cards to take home and exchange with your favorite Valentines. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks to keep the young artists fueled up for creation. There is a small cost of $10 per participant\, discounted to $5 if you are a member. The cost is only $5 for children up to age 12\, and the price includes a lantern craft activity to help light the path along the way. Adult tickets are$8 and include  a free cocoa or coffee. Additional refreshments\, such as soup and s’mores will be for sale as well. All proceeds go towards the preservation of the  Homestead. .

DESCRIPTION:The book Tidy by award winning author Emily Gravett has environmental preservation and sustainability at its heart.  On Saturday October 5th\, Tidy will be transformed into an immersive StoryWalk experience along the North Plymouth Seaside Trail\, the 1.2 mile path connecting Nelson and Cordage Parks. Kicking off at Nelson Park at 10:00 AM\, you will be able to walk along the trail while learning about all the elements and wildlife that surround you as you also follow the story of Pete the badger\, whose need for neatness causes a chain reaction of environmental consequences. StoryWalk will be up until Monday\, November 4th. The trail is both stroller and wheelchair friendly!  \nThis Story Walk project is a partnership between Plymouth Public Library\, Plymouth Open Space Committee\, Sustainable Plymouth and Plymouth’s Department of Energy and Environment.
