On December 6th\, 7th\, and 8th\, join PFC for A Basically British Christmas: Seasonal Favorites from Across the Pond\, where you will hear beautiful renditions of musical works from such composers as Ralph Vaughn Williams\, Gustav Holst\, John Rutter\, and James Whitbourn. To add to this majestic performance\, you’ll hear the added drama of brass\, timpani\, cello\, and flute. DESCRIPTION:The Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra is paying special tribute to the film Polar Express\, the modern holiday classic released twenty years ago this season. On December 14th and  15th join  Conductor Steven Karidoyanes and special guest vocalist Roselin Osser and a very merry orchestra who will be taking this soundtrack out for a long wintery ride at the Plymouth Memorial Hall. There will be a guaranteed Santa sighting\, along with a March of the Toys charity drive. Hop in your sleigh and get ready for a wonderful winterland night at the Phil!   Saturday showtimes are 3 and 7:30pm\, and 3:00 PM  on Sunday.  Visit the Phil’s website to reserve your tickets.

DESCRIPTION:If you dig a little JAM in the morning\, the Duxbury Council on Aging’s Jazz Brunch might strike a chord with you. On Friday December 20th the Duxbury Senior Center will be the scene of an EGG-cellent ticket of breakfast foods and popular jazz tunes performed by Steve Lanzillotta and the Play It Again Band. The cost is just $5 per person. Brunch is served from  from 9 to 9:30 AM\, and the one-hour long music set begins at 9:30.
