Learn to Felt a Sloth is sllllllloowwwwwly moving our way\, but will be here before you know it\, landing in the branches of the Teen Room on Thursday February 20th. Kiddos ages eleven and up can learn how to sculpt the world’s most popular slow-moving forest dweller using a special needle and wool roving. Needle felting is incredibly fun and easier than it may look. This program runs from 3 to 4:30 pm and is graciously funded by the Kingston Public Library Foundation. All art supplies are provided\, and everyone will leave with up to four handmade cards to take home and exchange with your favorite Valentines. Additional refreshments\, such as soup and s’mores will be for sale as well. All proceeds go towards the preservation of the  Homestead. .

SUMMARY:First Aid Class for Kids at Kingston Rec
DESCRIPTION:Kingston Parks and Recreation Department is offering a First Aid Class for kids ages 11 to 15 years old that will demonstrate and discuss\, in age appropriate ways\, how to treat minor injuries\,  indoor and outdoor hazards to be aware of\, and tips to prevent accidents or injury from happening in the first place. The class will be taught by Family Physician Cheryl Mitchell\, M.D.\, who has over thirty years of experience in treating a wide range of health issues in patients of all ages. This essential class is offered at the reasonable cost of $44 for residents and $50 for non-residents. First Aid for Kids will take place from 6pm to 8pm in the Barcella Room at the Reed Community House Building.

Davidson and illustrated by Nikki Slade Davidson\, is a story of a lonely witch who eventually is united with her purranormal partner in the purrfect place.  After the story there will be a craft activity where the kids can craft their own cats out of paper\, glitter glue\, wiggle eyes and a little witchy magic.
