From December 12th\, through the 15th\, the Plymouth Antiquarian Society will bring this classic tale to the life in an interactive experience that will transform the 1809 Hedge House into an immersive walk-through with Ebenezer Scrooge’s penance and recompense. Join Scrooge as you travel through the rooms of the historical house\, encountering a talented cast of performers enacting his visitations with the Ghosts of Christmas Past\, Present\, and Future. This one-of-a-kind performance will last approximately 45 minutes and tickets are a pittance at the cost of only a few shillings\, or $35 per person in American current day dollars. SUMMARY:Plymouth Forefather's Day Parade
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the anniversary of the landing of the Pilgrims at Plymouth with the Old Colony Club\, who first commemorated the landing on December 22nd\, 1769. After some time\, the celebration was reinstituted in 1956 to include a march\, band music\, and the firing of a cannon. This annual tradition has continued each Forefather’s Day since. March your way up to Cole’s Hill in Plymouth on Sunday December 22nd at 6am.  This gathering is free and open to all.

DESCRIPTION:On December 27th\, join Joy from The Joys of Nature for The Nature of the Maya World\, a Nature Travel Talk at the Duxbury Free Library. While sitting comfortably in the Setter Room\, you’ll travel through the temples of Caracol\, explore caves of artifacts\, and tour ancient sites in Belize that one can still visit in current day. Learn about how the Maya incorporated iguanas\, the keeled billed toucan\, colorful parrots and a broad variety of Mesoamerican animals into their stories and intricate carvings\, AND the importance to ceremony and medicine the cacao bean played – this source of chocolate was even used as currency.  This fascinating  hour-long program begins at 2pm and is best enjoyed by adults 18 years and above.
