The music stage will be lit up with live music from artists Tyler Levs\, Lainey Dionne and Friends\, Mark T. Small and The Valerie Baretto Band. DESCRIPTION:The town of Kingston’s history has been varied and rich since its incorporation in 1726 – an early shipbuilding hub\, it was a residential suburb for many Plymouth Cordage Company workers\, and a popular shoreline escape for Bostonians. In 2026\, this quaint and storied town will celebrate its 300th birthday\, and a committee has been formed to plan a wide swath of events around this historical marker. Already in the works is Olde Home Day\, a Scavenger Hunt\, an historic house tour\, a parade and fireworks. The Kingston 300 committee is seeking members across the entire community- Veterans\, Wampanoag Native People\, youth\, seniors\, religious organizations\, schools\, business owners\, everyone- so that all of Kingston’s residents\, past and present\, are represented in the festivities on this monumental anniversary. If you are interested\, please attend the next meeting on September 18th\, or contact the Board of Selectmen’s office to be appointed. Meetings are on every third Wednesday of the month.

DESCRIPTION:The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by photographer Adam Bouska and partner Jeff Parshley in 2008\, in direct response to legislation intending to ban marriage equality.  Photos feature subjects with duct tape over their mouths\, symbolizing their voices being silenced\, with “NOH8” painted on one cheek in protest.  \nThe NOH8 Campaign has grown from a grassroots groundswell into a charitable organization whose mission is to fight for marriage\, gender and human equality through education\, advocacy\, social media\, and visual protest. NOH8 has hosted photo shoots in 48 of the 50 states in the US\, and 20 countries around the world\, and has captured over 56\,000 faces.  \nSo– are YOU ready to lend your look to the fight for equal rights? Plymouth Pride is hosting celebrity photographer and NOH8 co-founder Adam Bouska for a NOH8 campaign photo shoot in Plymouth on Sunday September 8th\, from 2pm to 4pm at Hotel 1620 in Plymouth Harbor. The cost for a solo photo is $40 and for couples or groups\, just $25 per person. No reservations are needed\, just arrive dressed in a plain white shirt and ready to strike a pose. Resuming on Friday August 30th\, Mayflower Brewing Company will have draft beer on tap\, hard seltzer\, High Limb Cider and a duet of wines Friday and Saturday nights (except Sept 20 and 21st) from 3pm to 8pm\, through September. Some of downtown’s most delectable eats are within walking distance\, making this an ideal place to enjoy an after-dinner drink\, or even better– grab a take-out dinner and bring it to enjoy at the beer garden! A portion of every beverage sale goes to the Plymouth Antiquarian Society to help support and maintain one of Plymouth’s finest architectural examples of Federal period architecture. The Hedge House is at 126 Water Street in Plymouth.

DESCRIPTION:The Plymouth Antiquarian Society’s lush sweeping lawn and gorgeous view of Plymouth Harbor is the setting for their Annual Antiquarian Summer Fair on Saturday August 24th from 10am to 3pm. Travel back in time and peruse antique books\, prints and collectibles\, vintage clothing\, jewelry and other timeless treasures all available for purchase. There will also be a bake sale offering fresh\, not vintage\, homemade sweet treats. The Antiquarian Summer Fair is free to attend. Additionally\, the historic 1809 Hedge House will be open for tours during the event for a small admission fee–residents of Plymouth pay just $5 for adults and $2 for children. Members of the Plymouth Antiquarian Society get in for free and for non-residents the cost is only $10 for adults and $5 for the young ones. All proceeds go towards the Society’s mission to preserve and share local history.

SUMMARY:The Pilgrim Progress Reenactment
DESCRIPTION:The Pilgrims’ first winter in the New World was brutal – by spring\, nearly half of the colonists had succumbed to the elements from lack of proper shelter\, or disease.  Over one hundred years ago\, the Town of Plymouth instituted a recurring event to honor these founders\, naming it the Pilgrim Progress Reenactment. Based on the written account of Dutch visitor Isaack de Rasieres (rah-zee-ruh)   who came to Plimoth Colony in 1627 and observed the settlers gathering for worship\, the Pilgrim Progress takes place on every Friday in August\, and on Thanksgiving morning.  Costumed participants represent the fifty-one surviving pilgrims\, walking to the solo beat of a drum in their sabbath procession to church.  The last Pilgrim Progress of this summer will be on Friday August 23rd at 6pm. Come witness this long-running tradition\, or follow along as they walk past Plymouth Rock\, up Leyden Street\, and to the top of Burial Hill\, where a short pilgrim worship service will take place. The Pilgrim’s Progress begins at the Mayflower Society House on Winslow Street\, just off North Street in downtown Plymouth.

DESCRIPTION:Come see up to 75 exhibitors present original work and handcrafted canvas art\, sculpture\, woodwork\, glass creations\, fabric art\, pottery\, fashion\, jewelry\, metalwork and more. Artists hail from Plymouth\, the Pine Hills and over 30 regional towns. \nThere will also be live music featuring Bruce Fletcher\, Colette O’Connor\, Mike Doyle\, Jim Sharkey and Abigail Vail. Additional family exhibits includes Child’s Ply Alpaca\, Massachusetts South Shore Woodturners\, face painter Sybil Kaplan and a rocking boat to be created on site by South Shore Boatworks. There will also be a feature of custom LEGO creations. \nFood options include Artisan Pig\, Del’s Lemonade and a beer garden hosted by Second Wind Brewery. \nParking is available at 5 different sites with a courtesy shuttle provided.
