DESCRIPTION:The South Shore Chess Club is an entirely free\, social chess club for adults and pre-teens.\n\n\n\nThe Kids Club is for ages 5yo to 12yo and meets Wednesdays from 3pm to 5pm. Adults Club (experienced players of all levels) immediately follows from 5pm to 9:30pm. All are required to preregister at TheSouthShoreChessClub@gmail.com in order to participate.\n\n\nAdults (5:30pm-8:30pm) can just drop in as long as they know how to play. There’s one entrance to the church at 18 Spear St and participants can contact Michael at thesouthshorechessclub@gmail.com for PIN/QR Code. \n\n\nThe club’s mission is to provide a friendly environment for the promotion of good chess camaraderie and positive community strength\, while encouraging traditional OTB games of chess!\n\n\n\nThe demonstration of good chess etiquette is strongly encouraged at The South Shore Chess Club but good-natured Blitz chatter/banter is to be expected and enjoyed as well.\n\n\n\nThe South Shore Chess Club is located within Bethany Congregational Church at 18 Spear Street in Quincy with plenty of local parking available along surrounding streets and at Crane Library’s nearby lot.
