SUMMARY:Eastern Bank Workshop: "Money Matters" at the Adams Center
DESCRIPTION:Kingston\, Mass. — Kingston Branch Manager Donna Smith-Bocash of Eastern Bank will instruct a pair of financial literacy programs on Tuesday\, August 5 at the Adams Center (33 Summer St). The first session taking place at 2 PM is titled\, “Money Matters” budgeting workshop\, will discuss tips on how patrons can prepare a budget\, keep track of their money\, and understand income and expenses. \nThe second program at 6 PM is\, a “To Your Credit” workshop. Smith-Bocash will explain how your credit history affects individuals. Participants will learn how to order a credit report\, interpret it\, and present advice on how to build or repair one’s credit history. \nSmith-Bocash started her career in banking in 1978 at BayBank. She has stayed throughout all mergers and acquisitions until 2008 when she became part of Eastern Bank. Smith-Bocash is active in the Kingston community through the Kingston Business Association\, including hosting and attending events such as the Kingston Waterfront Festival. She is presently a Vice President at Eastern Bank. \nThis program is part of the 2025 Adult Summer Reading Program\, “Level Up at Your Library.” Attendees are eligible for a raffle ticket for one of three prizes on display in the Circulation area. \nTo register for this event\, please visit – https://kingstonpubliclibrary.org.
