SUMMARY:An Afternoon of Poems by Robert Frost performed by Stephen Collins
DESCRIPTION:Duxbury Free Library together with the Duxbury Senior Center are pleased to present “An Afternoon of Poems by Robert Frost” on Wednesday\, October 9th at 2:30 pm. This unique\, interactive performance by Stephen Collins will first introduce the life of this complex\, dichotomous\, and often misunderstood poet\, and then invite participants to join a discussion of a selection of Frost’s poems. The poems to be discussed are “A Tuft of Flowers”\, “Mending Wall”\, “Birches”\, “After Apple Picking”\, “Acquainted with the Night” and “Desert Places.” The performance will end with Collins doing a dramatic reading of “The Death of the Hired Man.” The show is about an hour and a half long and will be at the Duxbury Senior Center at 10 Mayflower Street in Duxbury. This is a hang-out and not an instructional event\, so players will bring their own portable device charged and ready to play. The Minecraft Hangout will take place on October 9th from 5:30-6:30.
