At the Plimoth Patuxet Museum on Wednesday October 30th, Through the magic of virtual reality, experience the journey aboard the Mayflower during her voyage of 1620 —without the risk of scurvy, storms, or falling overboard. The Virtual Reality Mayflower Presentation and Experience was developed by Professor Bob Stone of the University of Birmingham and his team to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the ship’s arrival here. Plimoth Patuxet Museum invites you to visit on Wednesday October 30th from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, when your VR experience will include educational components mediated by avatars of the historical passengers. Before putting on your virtual reality headset to explore the Mayflower, Professor Stone and some of his team will give a short presentation about the project itself. This special event is included with admission to the museum. which is located at 137 Warren Avenue.
