Friends of Church Hill Cemetery 501c3 Created to Preserve Historic Burial Grounds
Norwell, MA— 4 September 2025 — A quiet hilltop in Norwell hosts a cemetery pre-dating the
American Revolution, and September 27th marks the 300th anniversary of its founding. With the goal of
preserving this scenic and ancient burial ground for future generations, the newly-formed 501c3 non-profit
Friends of the Church Hill Cemetery, (FCHC) started a fundraising campaign to provide $300,000.00 in
perpetual endowment funds for grounds preservation, gravestone restoration and maintenance. Tax deductible
contributions to this charity fund are always gratefully accepted, and media support is requested to tell the
cemetery’s Tricentennial story.
