The Americana Theater Company is reprising its 2022 original work, “An Americana Christmas Carol” at Plymouth Center for the Arts on select dates in December. Written by ATC co-Artistic Directors Derek Grant Martin and Jesse M Sullivan, and directed by award winning Marianne Savell, the play puts a uniquely Americana stamp on the beloved classic, combining the beauty and redemption themes of the original Christmas Carol story with a nod to the wild comedic elements of “Noises Off.” The set up : characters Charles and Isabella Richardson, a recently separated couple, try to hold it together on opening night of their production of A Christmas Carol. The scene is chaotic, portraying a cruel and bitter Charles, bent on playing the role of Scrooge off stage as much as on.
