When musicians band together and create music, they increase oxytocin levels and release endorphins. More plainly, jam sessions inspire bonding, increase feelings of trust, and make people feel close to one another! If you’d love some rhythmic connection and melodic conversation, don’t miss the Pembroke Public Library’s Acoustic Music Night on Wednesday, February 5th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Folk, Pop, Americana, Soft Rock, R&B or Blues– choose a few favorite songs from the genres you enjoy playing and bring the sheet music so others can join in. All types of acoustic string and wind instruments are welcome, and other instruments will be considered, just no electronics. And if jamming turns out to be your jam– Acoustic Music Night is a monthly event, happening every first and third Wednesday in the library’s meeting room.
