The Pembroke Public Library’s next book club discussion is on The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon. Inspired by the life and diary of renowned 18th Century midwife Martha Ballard, this thrilling mystery is about a woman who bucks the norms and expectations of her time to pursue the truth, and justice for a death she believes was a homicide. The book club will meet on January 7th from 6:30 to 7:30pm in the Meeting Room of the library – to request a copy of The Frozen River, visit the library, or call 781-293-6771.
