An Afternoon of Poems by Robert Frost performed by Stephen Collins

Duxbury Free Library together with the Duxbury Senior Center are pleased to present “An Afternoon of Poems by Robert Frost” on Wednesday, October 9th at 2:30 pm. This unique, interactive performance by Stephen Collins will first introduce the life of this complex, dichotomous, and often misunderstood poet, and then invite participants to join a discussion of a selection of Frost’s poems. The poems to be discussed are “A Tuft of Flowers”, “Mending Wall”, “Birches”, “After Apple Picking”, “Acquainted with the Night” and “Desert Places.” The performance will end with Collins doing a dramatic reading of “The Death of the Hired Man.” The show is about an hour and a half long and will be at the Duxbury Senior Center at 10 Mayflower Street in Duxbury. Please register through the Senior Center’s website.
