During the height of the Victorian spiritualist movement, Plymouth’s own Lizzie Doten became a national celebrity, reciting poetry to large audiences that she claimed was dictated to her from beyond the grave—by the ghost of Edgar Allan Poe!

Join us for this immersive experience at the historic Hedge House. Hear dramatic readings of Poe’s tales of mystery and the macabre. Perhaps even meet Lizzie Doten and attend to her stories of communing with the enigmatic Mr. Poe.

The program lasts approximately 45 minutes and will begin every 15 minutes from 7 pm to 8:15 pm. This program is not recommended for children under 13.
